What Venture Capitalists Look for in a Legal Tech Investment

I spoke with Josh Harder, a Senior Associate at Bessemer Venture Partners, a venture capital firm, which has been a prominent investor in legal technology companies like Clio, Anaqua, and Disco.

Given that Bessemer Venture Partners has been an investor in LinkedIn, Yelp, and Pinterest, we discussed why the legal industry has recently grown more attractive, how the legal software market is evolving, what venture capitalists look for in a legal tech investment, how legal tech start-ups should select a venture capital partner, the most difficult part of evaluating an investment in legal tech, and the next hot category, among other topics.
