With the 2011 International Legal Technology Association (ILTA) conference on everyone’s mind, I thought it would be interesting to speak with Chris La Cour, the founder and executive director of the most recent law-related tech conference, the Carmel Valley E-Discovery Retreat (called the CVEDR for 2012). La Cour describes the event as a conference for e-discovery professionals at all levels in various disciplines. We discussed his background, the genesis for the initiative, his team’s goals and the challenges of producing a conference in this environment, among other topics.

During my recent appearance at the ACLEA conference, in part to sign books for attendees courtesy of Fastcase, I had the chance to interview Stuart Teicher, who is featured in Reinventing Professional Services and with whom I co-presented “Copywriting in a 140-Character World” at the Boston event.
