I read about a recent initiative by Australian software firm, Nuix, to combine its e-discovery technology with a worthy philanthropic initiative and had the opportunity to interview Eddie Sheehy, the company’s CEO.  He explained that following the Nuix Exchange in October for clients, judges (from both the U.S. and the U.K.), and prominent thought leaders, including keynote speaker Craig Ball, his team created an initiative to offer the legal community a 10GB version of Nuix Desktop called Proof Finder for $100/copy and donate 100% of the proceeds to Room to Read, an organization that partners with local communities throughout the developing world to establish libraries, create local language children’s literature, and construct schools, among other projects.  Nuix was able to generate $17,000 in the first 10 days of its campaign.  Watch our interview below:
